Michelin PR6 - Anyone Using?
« on: May 01, 2022, 07:06:05 PM »
Not sure of the age of my tyres yet on my newly aquired ST1100. Going to need some new ones soon, and was wondering if anyone had run the Michelin PR6? I live in an area with lots of gravel on the sides of roads and sandy patches from flooding. The current Bridgestone ones are slippery in the gravel and sandy patches.

You should see a 4 digit code on sidewall for manufacture date...example 3909 would be the 39th week of 2009.
Any true road touring tyre is going to struggle with loose gravel and sand on bitumen roads, your riding awareness is the key. Michelin Road 6 are getting good reviews on the ST1300, but not available in GT spec, maybe the ST1100 is different? Pirelli Angel GT (A Spec) is another good performer on ST1300, may be an option? Remember, different riders get a different feel. Enjoy!
One day you will wake up and there won't be anymore time to do the things you've always wanted so do them NOW!!!
Remember there are 7 days in a week and Someday isn't one of them!

I’m running the Road 6 after having previously used the  PR4GT and the Road 5 GT.   Nothing to complain about from me.  I’ve put about 2000k on mine.   Biggles also has them and at last count had about 8000 on his and very happy.  You’ll find his comments if you do a search.
A man rides on his STeed, says “Why am I short of attention? Got a short little span of attention”.

You can call me Steve, with apologies to Paul Simon.
