« on: February 11, 2019, 12:21:04 PM »
Hi all, it's time to renew the screen on my 13 i'm just wondering if any of you have purchased from Eagle screens
if so is it possible i can get some feedback on them. Also wondering what the PUIG screens are like as they are on
 ebay for $190 +$68.00 postage.
Thanks in advance.  :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

G'day Lindsay

Can i have some more details on your screen eg; dimensions compared to standard as i'm 6" 2 tall so small screens are out of the question,is it tinted or clear etc etc . Cheers

610mm at the widest point.

325mm from the highest point to the centre of the upper mount hole.

430mm across the top before it curves in to the centre.

The screen also has two cutouts which reduce back pressure.

Clear screen.

I'm pretty sure the picture on the CalSci website is a picture of the screen I have for sale.

I can't give you comparative measurements because I no longer have the bike.

Have you thought about adjusting the screen mounting position.

The LH mount is in the standard lower position while the RH one is in the upper position. Overall increase in height is about 50mm/2 inches

G'day Allan mate to tell you the truth i did not even see that there is adjustment on the brackets. being as the screen
sits 50mm higher is there any turbulence under the screen as the gap between it and the fairing is now considerably
larger. Cheers

The gap between the screen and fairing is a little larger but any extra air flow is not noticed unless I put my hand there and I like to think it adds more air cooling the GPS and phone when on the move.

Just check what sort of plastic they are made from. Normally the Australian ones are inferior to those from the US. The Australian plastic when broken will crack into sharp slithers - not recommended.
I found I was able to great a great screen form the US incl. shipping for the same price as a local brand. I am however usually keen to support local sellers but not in this case.
Do your research unless the safety aspect is not a consideration.
Regards,
A.
I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Our 1300 has a Screens for Bikes which was on there when we bought her. https://www.screensforbikes.com/shop/honda/st-1300-02-08/

It looks like a standard size screen with a light tint.

Awesome Allan thanks for the heads up on the adjustments and the info.
All the best.

Cheers

This is my screen mounted in the higher position. It still has about 25mm of travel on the adjuster before it's at full height. Any higher and I would be looking through the screen and not over it. At my height of 178cm/5' 10" most of the air flow now goes over the top of my helmet.
