Title: Green n Gold for mental health
Post by: Greencan on July 20, 2017, 05:13:34 PM
Helping me forget about the 9 ribs with 15 fractures, the punctured lung, the smashed shoulder and the closed head injury ;-*

Thank you everybody for your thoughts, all helped leading to today. Gratefully appreciated :-)

Good Morning Gary et al...

Yes! I made a executive decision a couple of weeks ago to ignor the best medical advise by first taking the blue ST out for a cuppa to cold Woodend near home, then followed that up with an better short ride yeasterday on the green ST through the back roads of sunny n warm  Qld and northern NSW yesterday.

Probably did nothing to aide the recovery of my physical injuries, but did wonders for my mental well being!

So going to build on that today when Hornhonker n I pop up to Narang to kick a few tyres ;-*

Cheers the can :-)

Ah!  Thought that looked like Mt Warning in the background.  And there aren't many canefields around Sunbury, I 'spect.
I'm a firm believer in getting out of the sick-bed as soon as able to hasten the recovery.  What better way to getting all the important muscles toned up than to jump on an ST?

Spot on Bill :thumbsup

Completed the journey this arvo with Hornhonker by riding from Nerang (tyre kicking in Lawrance St), through to Advance Town and onto my most favourate road in Oz, through the Numinbah Valley to the Riverside pub in Murwillumbah for a dark ale and watch a couple of late arvo cane fires. Never get tired of this road Bill :p

Cheers the can :-)

It is a special place. Glad you're enjoying it.

Will you still be up here for the RTE on the 12th Aug?

On my first ride after prostate surgery in 2010, I rode with a mate to Meadows Bakery.  To my joy, parked outside was a Vincent Black Shadow and a Suzuki "water bottle", both looking brand new.   Both the ride and the encounter with these two iconic bikes from different eras, and their owners, did me the world of good.
