I've been a bit off color and restricted over the last six weeks (and for a few more to come) so I've been back into the shed with another project. This time it's a Jetty Fishing Trolly to cart my gear when I go fishing, as I got sick of wrangling tackle box, bait, burley bucket, fish bucket, bait and rods etc.
Those who are observant will notice that the wheels are from the Billy Cart, which now has some indestructible solid rubber wheels with steel hub that are grandson proof. I wanted a Jetty Trolly design that would fold up nicely to fit in the car, have a bit of work bench space, two rod holders, a fish/ice bucket, and somewhere to carry the tackle box. A light can be fixed to the top of the handle if needed. When packed, the handle telescopes down, the bottom shelf folds up and the top pulls off. Most of the material is galv, with the bits that are not galvanized painted with Cold Galv spray as an undercoat. Now I need to go fishing to try it out and see if it can carry a bucket full of fish and squid.
As an aside, I was chatting with a Japanese lady at the hospital today. She prepares fresh squid as sushimi. She slices it raw and very thin, dips it in soy or vinegar or both, and down the hatch. I'll be trying that for sure , but she added only to do it with fresh caught squid and not the stuff you get from the fish shop.
