Bugga Leo - When they said throw your shoulder into it, they didn't mean literally  :o  Take the time to mend and hope the surgeons can fix for you. At least its not your beer lifting arm  :beer  ;-*

I just had a call from Leo.   His shoulder was a bit of a mess, but the surgery went well and doctors are confident of a good recovery.   I'll be seeing him tomorrow, and with Langers assistance will  bringing his bike back to my place.  Leo flies home on Friday so I'll collect him from hospital and get him to the airport.   Bugger of an end to a much anticipated trip south for the Ulysses AGM.

You're a good man Pete, thanks from all of us (I think) for looking after one of our own.

 :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

On another note, I may have missed, or perhaps there wasn't one, the post on Leo having RACQ Total Cover (or equivalent).  It's something I don't leave home without these days.

Good to hear the rebuild was successful.  Thanks from all of us for looking after Leo.  Tell him to sit still on the back of the Beemer on the way to the airport.  He'll be wanting to lean into the bends.      :grin

Langers and I have just been out to the hospital to see Leo.   He's in good spirits and seems to be recovering well from surgery, with the physio there with him when we arrived.  Check out the x-ray of Leo's new collection of hardware.   The staff at the Calvary Central Districts Hospital seemed really nice and while we were chatting the Shift Team Leader called in and was asking about his arrangement for getting both himself and his bike back home, which seemed above and beyond normal medical care.   After leaving Leo, we drove to the Angaston Vineyards Motel, the scene of the crime, where Leo dropped the bike in their gravelly driveway.   The manager Jeff has looked after Leo very well and took him to the hospital after his mishap, and has also stored his bike in his own shed.  Damage to the bike is limited to a broken right side mirror and mirror housing, and some scratches to the paintwork on the right pannier lid.   Shannons are looking after the insurance issues, and will be arranging for the bike to be shipped back to Toowoomba Honda for repairs.  Thanks to those who volunteered to help get his bike back home, but with Shannons on Leo's team, your help is not needed.    In the meantime I've ridden it from Angaston and she's now locked away in my shed.  Leo is booked to fly home on Friday, and I'll be making sure he get's safely out of SA.

Hang in there Leo, and know that you have a lot of people on your team looking out for you when you in crisis and are so far from home.

I thought everyone dumped shannons insurance after they refused to sponsor the national rally  :cuss. At least Leo can get some use out of them. Well done for sorting the issues Pete & Langers :like

Well done Pete and Langers  , thanks for the update and on the Shannons report. I can stop looking for flight bookings as I was prepared to fly down to enjoy an easy ride to Toowoomba then fly home again. Leo certainly has a lot of hardware in his shoulder I  counted 11 screws. Wow.  the OzSTOC  family is an asset we members are proud  of.

That sounds like as good as possible result for recovery, of both hardware and software.
Hope the trip home is smooth and painfree Leo.

Sorry I could not get there today but work got in the way.   It is quite a good shoulder repair.  Last time I saw that many screws I was in Bunnings  :whistle

I counted 13 screws. 4 more than Shonee.

Shonee said do the physio, and test well. I concur.

All the best Leo, and good you hear you'll be home soon.

I took Leo the the airport this morning and made sure that he's left SA.   :thumb  Leo, I hope to see you back in SA sometime under better circumstances.  :beer

Now that he's gone, is anyone interested in buying a nice blue ST1300, with just has a little bit of cosmetic damage.   It comes with helmet and jacket, and is a spare bike that's sitting in my shed.   :crackup
