Unbelievable motorcycle footage found.......
« on: January 14, 2013, 11:37:23 AM »
It's footage of us all on our National RTE Lunch ride last year.....       :rofl

Not really - it's the Ulster GP and it is even scarier than the Isle of Man TT....

You'd better believe it!

Enjoy.....

They seem to have more prangs than the TT.  Is it just that they're mad Irishmen?
No mention of the injuries, but coming off at 200 MPH (322 kph) would have to hurt.  Cameras survived, anyway!   :eek
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Just watched it again.  The guy who hit the kerb at 0:29 was very lucky.

The road positioning at 1:50 shows these guys know the road perfectly.

That didn't help the guy at 1:25 who went straight off into the paddock!

Biggles asked "Is it just that they're mad Irishmen?"

There not all Irish boys who race in the Ulster GP. There are competitors  from all over the globe including your very own David Johnson. He is a regular and a damn fine rider he is too.
I'm looking forward to seeing how he does in this years IOM TT riding the Chinese bike.

This is the very thing he will ride

Aussie National Superstock star David Johnson will make history at this year's Isle of Man TT as he will enter the first ever Chinese-built bike.

Johnson will ride for the Hampshire=based WK Bikes who have entered a 650 twin manufactured by Chinese company CF Moto in the Lightweight TT Race which will be held on the final race day - Friday 8th June. It will race under its UK brand name of WK. The outfit will be run by Hampshire Motorcycles.

"I am so proud that we have been chosen by WK whom we work closely with through our shop and our BSB supersport team to be a part of TT history. The bike will be built in house and with our partners we are sure that we can have a competitive bike ready for the start of the IOM TT. Being part of such an historic moment will be something we can tell people for years to come. In signing Dave Johnson we have someone who I know well and enjoyed a year at BSB Superbike with and he also has good pedigree at the TT," said MD Dave Tyson.

Reminds me of following Diesel over the Lions Road!    :wink1

There was a pretty sudden end for the guy in the ball of flames near the beginning of the clip.   :eek
