I use "Slime" in my tyres for ride-on mower, trailers, etc, buy it from the local hardware and it does the same thing.
Haven't thought to use it on cars or bikes.

Tyre dealers dont like slime or OKO or any of the sealers, as they make a mess and a half when doing a change...

Secondly,

I do like the stuff in the vid, as its sprayed in to the tyre and seems to be a fixed gel coat of some sort. A very good idea and not messy.

Reading through their site it is basically the same as Slime, pumped in through the valve and it has to remain as a liquid to be able to plug punctures.

Firstly, I'm using an I-thingy and my finger wasn't of the screen quick enough and put in a 2nd "S" in positive (see I got it right that time)

We shouldn't need to worry about the tyre balancing aspect. I've never experienced out-of-balance tyres after they were statically balanced after fitting.

Which raises the question... car wheels are always dynamically balanced- has anyone ever had their m/c tyres dynamically balanced? Do they even have machines that can dynamically balance m/c wheels?

The first product was better I feel. It stayed in the tyre and had more coverage, with no chance of it moving.

What is ride on like in cold climates? They used to have issues with other products freezing into lumps inside the tyre.

That would add a whole new dimension to "out-of-balance" if it froze in a lump in the bottom of the tyre overnight.

Yeah the first product looks like it would be better but it isn't available in Australia

The Ride-On appears to stay in place fairly well and according to their FAQ (http://www.lsmtechnologies.com.au/item.cfm?site_id=15&category_id=2075)

Q: Does Ride-On (TPS) run to the bottom of the tire when the tire is not in motion?

A: No. Ride-On (TPS) contains specially selected binders which prevent this from happening. The sealant remains in place covering the interior surface of the tire. If a tire treated with Ride-On (TPS) is stored for a prolonged period of time, some of the Ride-On (TPS) can eventually pool in the bottom of the tire. Once the vehicle is driven for 3 to 5 miles, Ride-On (TPS) will again re-coat the inner surface of the tire. Note: the tire may briefly vibrate and be out of balance until Ride-On (TPS) has had a chance to evenly coat the tire. When Ride-On (TPS) has re-coated the tire, there should be no further balancing problems.

And it appears to handle temperature well

Q: How does Ride-On (TPS) perform under extreme temperature conditions?

A: Ride-On (TPS) is effective from -40ºF (-40ºC) to more than 300ºF (149ºC). Ride-On works well in every season.

Our local tyre dealer would balance mine but doesn't have the adapter to do motorcycles wheels.

For those in Perth who are interested.....

The state distributor is called Westate Mining. They are at 2/6 Elmsfield Way in Midvale. 9274 4443. They close early.

Speaking to the guy today, his name escapes me at the moment, he said that you need a small bottle 40oz per tyre @ $15.00 per bottle. Hence $30 per bike.

The bigger the wheel the more you would need.

They even put it in truck tyres!

After the Farride i'll be getting some.

I read an article years ago where they used a similar product ,the only down side was the tyre heat disapation ,and the product breaking down over time.still it does look good.
At the risk of jinxing my self i have not had a flat in 30 years.

That was my thinking

I had to get a puncture repaired just before seeing this thread...

It cost $40,

And they couldn't do it when I went in,

And I had to return the next day

And it took them an hour

But eventually I was back on the road

So for peace of mind while cruising around $30 is a price I don't mind paying.
