Drawing of an ST1300
« on: May 31, 2014, 06:09:27 PM »
So in my travels around the internets I bumped into a guy who draws motorbikes, and so I got him to do an ST1300.

I love it, I think I'll get it printed onto canvas

G'day Marcus,
Thanks 4 showing us this - very  nicely produced. Looks gr8 in your shed.  WOW:
I have created this sort of art and can assure u that this guy is very good at using the CADD (Computer Assisted Design/Drawing) software 2 highlight the features of the subject.
What sort of money was he asking to supply the image file that u then had printed to canvas?
Did he work from a foto u supplied and was that foto taken by u?

Noice but something doesn't look quite right at the rear end. But that is a better looking seat than the OEM.
Getting wind in my hair while I still have some.

He drew it all in Photoshop

That's my bike from a photo I supplied.

$150 for him to draw it. Which I consider pretty cheap for time spent

Do you not have the rear mudguard on your bike if that was the template.......or have I just opened a can of worms  :whistle

While graphics are the topic, try saving Marcus' new avatar to your HD and looking at it full sized to appreciate the effort some time-rich designer put in.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
