London Ambulance Service ST1300 vid....
« on: February 16, 2012, 10:39:16 AM »
They reckon these guys can get to accident scenes 40 percent faster to provide vital first aid. Apparently they are loaded up with even MORE gear (radios, first aird equip etc) than Police bikes...

In this vid... looks like they get there 100-200 percent faster than a regular ambo....

They had a programme in the UK called 'Emergency Bikers' which featured both Police and Paramedics.  The Paramedics are trained to the same level as the Police riders, if memory serves.

In London a bike is definitely quicker than a car/van, whether it's an emergency vehicle or not - the advantage of filtering / lane splitting, whatever you wish to call it.  It can be good fun, and if you ever get the chance try to follow a motorcycle courier through London - those guys are experts in their field.

They also use them in Melbourne & Sydney.

I'm not sure what bikes they are using though.
There are many paths to the top of the mountain.....but we all need to find our own way!

Very Cool

But I doubt that the powers that be in Brisbane would not have the intelligence to get some as good as that.

They also use them in Melbourne & Sydney.

I'm not sure what bikes they are using though.

From memory reading about it when they started using them, there is no prize for guessing which bike they used !!!
