We called in a few weeks ago on our way past and enquired about having an RTE there as I had a space to fill on the calendar. Found out the owner owns a Yamaha but rarely gets time to ride. The hotel is still under renovation since re-opening just over a year ago. The weekend I chose should also have some live entertainment as well.

Heather's daughter Tammie coming as well. Means a double trip for me to drop Heather off and go back and get Tammie but it'll be her first ride outside of town.

I'm on a jury pool,  but with any luck it'll all be over by then,  or i won't get picked. Still optimistic,  weather and countryside fabulous right now,  be a great ride even if not very far.

Thanks to mikep and his son Alan, Bodø Glimt, wildfire angel and her daughter Tammie for attending.

We weren't sure what the day was going to be like with some rainfall forecasted during the day. I had to take Heather over and then ride back to Peterborough to pick up Tammie and no rain. The girls were returned the same way after the RTE but riding back to pick Heather up I had about 9 km of rain (just as well we had our wet gear) and no rain with Heather on board for the last trip back home.

Mikes 1100 under cover, my 1100 and then Bodø's Kwaka all got washed while we were inside.

The kwaka was due for a wash.  I left quite early this morning hoping to find the Big Dice at Winnininnie (just north of Yunta) after missing them on a trip to Broken Hill in 2015.  They're not sign posted so no wonder I missed them last time.  From there I turned back to Yongala via Ucolta and Peterborough.  Fine weather out Yunta way but for most other parts of the day did have sporadic rainfall and winds to contend with.

i had a wet bum from being 10 minutes too late with the cover - sheepskin is comfy but does hold the water  - and we had about 40km of rain on the way home with no wet weather gear, so just a trifle damp. Still, a good ride anyway.
