I slept in until 9:30, so I decided to forego breakfast and hand my first meal of the day at Dayboro Bakery.
Shon and I decided that as the Weather RADAR showed clearing showers we should take the VW Eos ST (Super Transformer) in top down mode to the RTE.
It was a beautiful short drive out to Dayboro from Kallangur, hardly any traffic and only caught up to a slow one just before the 80 zone coming into town.
As we turned into the little side street a tad before 11:00 am, we saw a small gathering of STs parked on the right with Shiney doing his best taxiway controller impersonation to guide us to the sole remaing car park beside the bikes.
We we being greeted even before we could get out of the car. Handshakes, hugs and Happy New Year greetings were exchanged, even a group photo after a few more had arrived. Then we all stood arround chatting for almost an hour before heading up into the shaded verandah of the Bakery and hooking into pies and drinks and friendly conversations.
It was good to see some new faces as well as the familiar ones.
Thanks for coming Trevor, good to finally meet you face to face.
Thanks to everyone who came along and made it a success.
It was good to Ben riding again since his off.
Tales were told, ideas exchanged, banter and reverie imparted (faces pulled, hey Duncan) and sadly, too quickly preparations to get head home.
A few more photos of the day including BenT's nice looking 750.
My organic 'drone' shot
Cheers,
Gary
