2000 ST fuel issues.
« on: March 10, 2023, 09:17:55 AM »
Hi all,
Been a while since I've been on here.
Some time ago I did a complete carbie kit on AnaSTasia and had had her running, but not quite tuned.

She has been sitting for some time and on recent attempts to get her started have proved fruitless.

I have removed the fuel filter/strainer looked dodgy, have a new one coming from the UK for $20, Honda want $45+ GST. plus a 10 day wait coming from UK quicker.

Apart from old fuel in the system is there any other issues I need to look for?
Once I get her running does anyone know anyone that knows how to tune Carbies in the Perth area, without having to donate a kidney.
I had the bike in Perth for some time and have since taken her back to Wagin.
In the move it seems I have misplaced the air filter assembly :H does anyone know any wreckers in the Perth area, if I need to get one.
TIA
Cheers
Kappy

Kappy, tuning the 1100 is not that hard to do yourself.

If you can rebuild the carb's yourself, tuning should be easy.

There is plenty of instructions/details around for the tuning.
At my age " getting lucky" is remembering what I came in the room for ;)

What parts of the air filter assy are missing.  Wombat may have some parts, that Pitcrew would only be too happy to see gone   :beer

Thanks
I had a man look on Wednesday morning.
Will need to look deeper, can't imagine having thrown it out.
I need the whole base and cover if I can't locate mine, will have to hunt when I get back home.
Ordered a new filter from the UK for $21 will arrive earlier than the Honda dealer one for $48 + GST.Ex Melbourne
Cheers
