No Fuel getting to Carbs

Hi Been a while since been on.

Some time ago I overhauled my carbies , re balanced them and got her going.

Now after the bike has been sitting for several years, I wanted to start her again.

Before I started I emptied a container of fuel conditioner in the tank. 

With Battery fully charged attempted to start, no go, just cranked over.

So after several attempts and some sprays of start Ya Bastard and full choked managed to get poor idle.

Every attempt to add throttle just stalled.

Id rather not pull the carbies apart again.

Any guidance appreciated.

If the carbs werent drained before letting the bike sit, then the fuel bowls / jets may have fuel varnish blocking them. If you fuel pump is pushing fuel and the fuel filter is letting it through, then you will have to look at the carbs.

I had the same issue with my little portable generator...
After having it sorted at my local mechanic, I have now been running it every few weeks using 98 octane fuel.
I figure with the extra cleaning agents supposedly in 98 fuel it will help clean any excess crap still there.
Oh, and next time I'll be running it out of fuel before storing it for long periods...

Its a common practice in the States to empty the tank and run the carbs dry when putting th bike up for winter, as when the fuel evaporates, then the nasty varnish like additives remain and block up all the passages.. I guess its easier to deal with dry seals/o rings than blocked jets and passages.

Just wondering if I squirt some carby cleaner down each throat if that may help
