Malfunction Indicator Lamp
« on: July 31, 2012, 01:46:44 PM »
Hi to all!,  A few days ago i was crusing up the highway from ballina to the Gold coast sitting on about 130k , a beautiful day passing & being passed buy a nice sounding frieblade honda ( we were just having fun ! ) my 1300 running beautifully as usual. I was really enjoing the moment when i noticed the malfunction indicator light was on ( just below the neutral light ) nothing changed with performance and it stayed on until i got home about 40 mins later. I shut the bike down , then 5mins later started  it again & all was back to normal. The next day i took it for a run and everything was back to normal with no malfunction light on !!..................any thoughts??? cheers   Pete!  ::)  :slvr13

Maybe your honda was having a 'honda' moment with the other honda. Just another case of a 'flirty' Honda enjoying the moment. :wink1

Hi Pete - could be about to come on and stay on - indicating a service of some sort is required.

The mechanics will reset it when they do the service, and after another amount of miles - it'll come back on again.

How many clicks on yer beast?

Thanks for the reply Diesel! sorry been away on a golf trip since the 2nd & just got home. That sounds feasible i`ll keep an eye on it !,the run run to Dugandan ( if work & weather permit! ) should be a test to see if it comes on again, and if so i`ll bite the bullet and get it sorted!!!.............cheers ....Pete   :thumbs    :slvr13
