We finally get our NBN connected on Friday the 13th (if all goes well) and the home phone will be disconnected at the same time.

No it wasn't and another connection attempt happening on the 1st.

Just paid out $375 to replace the catalytic converter section in the car's exhaust system. The pipe leading to the muffler and the cat. con. parted company with each other during the week between Xmas and New Year.

I'm sure they gave me another car and not mine as it sounds as quite as the day it was new.

It had just gradually been getting noisier without you realising it, so now it's much quieter by contrast.

Maybe another trip over west to see my sis. Dad rang this morning and mentioned he's coming to visit us on about 5th Sept. Not sure yet but he's thinking about another trip over.

I'm not keen on driving 5000 km in a Toyota Yaris (no cruise control) again so I suggested we use my Territory and Heather could use dad's car.

As expected I'm over in Perth at my sister's place after driving dad over.

I left home on Thursday 7th an arrived here Sat afternoon. Expect to head back home on Sunday providing WA is still part of Australia.

We went to Adelaide yesterday to see Heather's sister before she flies back to Darwin on Sunday.

As a tryout on the way I set up the Go Pro as a dash cam. Forgot to charge the battery and only got about 24 mins of video but more than enough to make it acceptable to be used in that way. The only issue was the mounting hardware and being a spur of the moment thing it was ad hoc from what I had on hand.

I should have swapped cases and powered the cam from the 12 volt supply in the car but at 6 am being the middle of the night the brain isn't to functional.

Using a 32GB mini SD card gives about three hours @ 720p with constant use but one has to charge battery first.

I edited what I had and came up with about a usable 10 minutes. Replaced the soundtrack with music instead of listen to boring chatter.
