Great idea, Pete.

There is some fantastic riding in the Adelaide Hills.  A mate and I went to Birdwood last week - stopped for a photo on the way.  I know it looks like Tuscany with the Italian machinery and verdant vineyards but it is, in fact, the beautiful Adelaide Hills near Uraidla!

I have a job in Ballarat but will be coming back to Adelaide some weekends so hopefully I may be able to attend a ride some time.  Unfortunate timing as I would have loved to attend the mid-weeks!  Particularly to save you the embarrassment of riding with only a Harley rider for company.

Pete,
I am staying at Victor Harbor until Monday on my way home from Toowoomba (via Wodonga).
There is a good chance I will make it on Wednesday. Originally Steve, who I am staying with and now owns my first GL1500, may have been coming as well but now has a work commitment in Victor at midday.
If no one else is coming would you consider changing it to Thursday and then Steve could join us.
Tuesday Steve and I will be driving to Tintinara and back so I will try and ring you when I have a signal during the day.

Glen,  Thursday doesn't suit me at all, as we're going away that day for an extended Easter break.  I've already arranged with my mate Fish to ride there with me on Wednesday, so Fish and I will certainly be at Birdwood on Wednesday.  I hope you can join us.

Andrew and I had a damp and windy ride to Birdwood and met Hendo at the Cafe, who was over from Melbourne visiting family.   The coffee at this place is great and the massive servings Scones, Jam and Cream are a meal on their own.  We sat inside by the open fire, caught up on some gossip, and then Andrew and I rode down the twisty North East Road through Gumeracha, Chain of Ponds, and Tea Tree Gully  to visit a mate who is recovering from surgery.  Back home by 2.00pm after another great ride in the Adelaide Hills.

Sure is Blerko. :thumb     It's been a standing set ride, right through winter, but has not had strong support.    If you are keen to go on particular month, post your interest on this thread, and see who takes the bait.   It's a fantastic ride, no matter which way you come from Adelaide, the Cafe is a beauty, and I can usually make it.

Wow - that's bad timing, Ulyssyes in Berri 6th May and Glendambo FarRide on the 5th - doesn't anyone check what else is on before they post an event.

We'll be going this wednesday (28th).  Mrs Glimt is coming too so we'll be in the car.  I suggested a ride but she's not too keen on riding so far.  The furthest I have taken her on the bike was Castle Plaza (and she requested we didn't go over Emerson Crossing again on the way home).

Thinking about a run to the Riverland - Loxton or Berri maybe for lunch, with any appropriate stops there and back for bakery / coffee shop inspections  ;-*.

Meet at Littlehampton OTR at 9.00 am, but flexible if too early or late.

Initially they were planned for the Pommegranate Cafe at Birdwood on one Wednesday morning per month.    However that has gone by the wayside, and we now encourage anyone who's looking for a mid week ride to post a Day and Location, and see who takes up the offer.

If you make if over here, we can post a mid week run to Strath or the Finnis Cafe, both of which are great locations in the Fleurieu region

OK, I'm planning to ride to Birdwood tomorrow (Pomegranate Cafe) for a coffee at 11am. I'm catching up with a mate riding a Beemer R1200RT and any OZstocer who is free tomorrow is most welcome to join us. With future commitments up until NYE, this is likely my last "proper" ride for 2021 (and I might add, I'm not going to be sorry that to see the back of 2021).

I've only just seen this.  It turns out my friends sold the business in april 2019.  I didn't even know that until today.  We did our not the national rally there the previous august.

I rode what was the Pomegranate Café on saturday.  I didn't go in, but it's now operating under the name of The Fold Café.
