Well, I have bit off more than I can chew. The ST1300, the subject of this post http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=13268.0, (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=13268.0,) is more work than I can currently handle with too many project on the go at the moment.
Here's the only pic I have, for now. More will be posted as soon as I have 'em.

The ST is currently sitting in a bike shop with a long list of repairs, which if I leave for the bike shop to carry-out, source parts and fit, will be approximately $2,000. If I had the time, patience and skills, I would take care of most of the items myself, but I'm just too busy, impatient and clumsy.
The big ticket items which require attention are:
- Inner front forks - the current forks are "too badly pitted to repair".
- Clutch master cylinder needs a new kit - it didn't feel too bad to me in the short ride I've had so far, changed okay.
- New rear disc and pads.
- Front tyre
There also the brake light, a front parking light and the speedo not working. The slightly torn rear saddle is apparently not a problem (probably because it's a two piece saddle).
The ST has approx. 170,000km on the clock, the original owner (Phil) says it has done more like 200,000km due to the faulty speedo for the last year he had it (2018). I tracked Phil down through his name (naturally), though FaceBook. After I searched his name in FB, three or four possibles came up, one was a"friend" of Bruce, my brother-in-law once removed, a FB message to Bruce, and WTF I found the original owner.
Phil is ex-VicPol (as is Bruce), who was at one time doing rider training and testing with Stay Up Right, and due to their close connection to HART he sourced the ST13 in 2002 the first (he claims) to be sold in Australia, and that this was before Honda officially released the ST13 to the public. Phil used the ST as a commuter, hence the high km. He advised that he changed oil every 5,000km, filters every 10,000km.
Anyway, my loss will be someone else's gain.
To make thing a little easier for some, I have a VicRoads' unregistered vehicle permit which will expire 6 March 2019.

This includes nearly $1,300 for NEW inner front forks (that's the approx. Partzilla price). But after a weekend inspection, I (and a knowledgeable in all things motorcycle mate) don't think that's needed. Mate reckons the inner forks can be re-conditioned at approx. 20% of the new price.

You, or someone else knowledgeable and capable, would need to put much of the labour and effort to make this a worthy proposition.
And you need to take into account transport costs across the nation (I dunno, minimum $500), and then I don't think it would be cost effective. But, if you want to talk, PM me your mobile, and I'll give you a call.

Let me be blunt, this ST1300 is not for the faint hearted. It needs a lot work, and therefore it's for someone who can do most (all) of the repairs themselves, so as they can save a few$$.
Thanks for the enquiries from interstate and local, but as I have advised the enquirers who have indicated they want a workshop to do the repairs, I'm not gunna sell the ST to you. It would turn out to be a loose/loose/win situation, eg:
- The buyer would loose - it would be a minimum of $4,500, and there would be better ST13's for that price.
- As a result of above, I would loose a friend, and respect of some others on the Forum. Hmmmm ..... I hope I have some respect.
- The workshop would win - at the rates they charge and mark-ups on parts, they win.

I see another lose- (as different from your loose, e.g a screw loose :grin ) your Missus will lose her cool about a "useless" ST1300 cluttering up the place. I know that's what would happen here if I were to adopt it for parts. :'(

With the issue of my details,transferring the name of ownership and signing of all paperwork will be done by the freight agent so you don't have to worry about that.

I had exactly the same response to the GL1500 I am selling. Funny how I heard nothing more when I suggested his transport company turn up with cash in hand.

As much as I hate to suggest it maybe you should consider parting out the ST, probably worth more as parts than as a complete bike.
That had gone through my mind.
In the meantime, so far the best offer (other than the scammer's $2,000) is $1,400. This after only 24 hours on BikeSales. I might get out of this without too much lose after all.

Good luck with ST13 parts, I don't think it will be this one though.
A coupla offers are already at my minimum, I'll let it go for a week or so just in case I get a better one. Probably not gunna break even with my costs so far, but at least I get to replace the brand new battery I bought (for this one) with the two year old battery (which is starting to show signs of failure) in the other ST.
What is it with batteries these days? The two year is showing signs of failure, I usually keep the batteries on a trickle charge, if I don't with the current battery it won't start the bike after a week or two, still got charge but needs a full charge to start the bike.
Probably due the period when the bike sat idle in the garage when on holidays here for a month, then overseas for two months and I didn't put it on trickle charge.

Maybe you have a small power leak . . . I have an 1100 that usually is only started a couple of times a year and the battery is fine . . And it is about 5+ years old. Only on a trickle charger maybe twice a year for a day or two.

I've swapped over the batteries, reconnected everything (see below), I'll keep an eye on and take better care of the battery in the new ST13.
Everything ........ well I don't see any unconnected wires, but now the 12v accessories socket has not got power, so I suppose not everything.
