« on: March 25, 2016, 11:54:55 PM »
Audew Pair High Power Cree LED HB/LB Headlight H4 3200LM 6500K 36W White Bulbs Lamp Super Bright

AS WITH PARKERS THE TUPPERWARE IS STILL OFF.

Remove the headlight plug

Remove rubber boot covering headlight assembly

Remove old headlight Bulb (Globe)

Take new LED bulb and remove the (2) tabs bottom left and bottom right

Insert the new bulb, making sure to lock the gold color pin in the correct position, check for looseness

Replace rubber boot over the bulb making sure wire is free but covered, push all around boot for tight fit against weather.
Screw the cooling fan bottom to the rear of the bulb

Plug the new headlight plug to the existing one

Connect the blue wire, then push the green circled wire together then screw up tight.

The silver box (don't know its name outlined in green) can be (zip) cable tied to any sturdy point.
AGAIN CHECK ALL IS WORKING. you should hear the fans working when they are on.

ENJOY. UN led lights now look YELLOW to me  :grin :runyay

PS The BUGS will love your lights, carry lots windex and cloths >:() :rofl :blu13left

One thing to note when removing the lead from the headlight bulb is .... You need to 'squeeze' the coupling and pull at the same time.

I fitted LED lights to my ST1300 on the weekend including the laser cut H4 adaptor, very frustrating job as the adaptor makes the globe sit proud and you cannot get the clips back on. I ended up removing the headlight from the side plastics without removing them (this was an experience) and removed the retaining pin and removed a bunch of material. This let me get the clips done up. Very happy with the result though yet to take her out for a night ride to test the lights properly yet.
These are the ones I ended up fitting:

I had the same problem with 1mm adapters.  Ended up going back to just removing a tab and putting the bulb in.
I used the Narva 120s- nice bright light.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

:blu13 After my installation on March 26, 2016 of a set of led headlights, Sad to say left one has died on 6/8/2016 and the right started flickering on the way back from toowoomba 10/8/2016. I bought the same LEDs as Draco and tried them in my Nissan Patrol ute a few nights ago. They are bright and white but lack any depth when on high beam. The old Osram nightbreakers will be going back in and the LEDs consigned to the pile of old headlight bulbs :(.

One of mine failed after a week so I'm not sure about the quality of these globes. When I contacted the E-bay seller they tried to talk me into swapping to a more bike friendly version of the LED globes but as whey were about 1/10 the brightness I told them I wanted a replacement for the one I purchased. Worst part of the failure is that I was heading back home and had to drive for two hours at night with a popped fuse, the only lights I had was the high beam on the flasher  :||||. Was not happy.
Lucky Mr Plod did not catch me.
