Title: Replacing tail light globe.
Post by: Carsten on June 28, 2016, 04:22:52 PM
Hi all.  Have to replace one brake/taillight globe.  Problem is that the cruise control unit is in the back section and the normal way wont work because there is no room to move maintenance cover.  The bike shop did it once and had to bend stuff out of the way, causing me problems with the cruise control (would have been scary to see).  Have pulled the top box mounts off but before I start pulling every thing apart like an amateur, is there an easier way to access the globe.  Thanks in advance.

I have done it by removing the rear fender, 4 bolts

Remove the back bottom cover and go up from underneath, Carsten. It sounds complicated but it isn't   :thumbs

Done.  Had to remove the whole ducktail as the cruise control unit is too large.  Once I worked out what needed it was pretty easy.  Thanks for the advice.
