Electronic dash
« on: February 23, 2013, 10:50:51 PM »
Hi All,

Has anybody converted their anologue guages on a 1100 to digital? I would like to do a project that will replace the standard gear with a digital speedo, tacho and gear indicator. Give the dash a little update.

You combined weath of knowledge will be most appreciated. I look forward to your thoughts and experiences.

All the best.

Not that I have heard of... Speedo is mechanical, not sure if tacho is voltage or pulse driven. then comes the problem of calibration....

Hi Rooster,

I use Dakota Digital from the USA for the wife's hot rod, and they do have a motorcycle section.

http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=results/Category_ID=60/mode=cat/cat60.htm

You can send your instrument cluster to them and they rebuild it to digital.  But as Brock said, you'll need sensors, interface etc and they can help with that as well.
I have seen there work and it is excellent.

Just send them an email and see where that takes you.

Cheers
