 Arvo from balmy London..

Havent a clue at this time just how good tge Innox battery extender is going at present as Mentioned above, moi' is in the UK enjoying some lovely sunshine and some sensational country roads here and on the continent...

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qDISuWM8i2Q&feature=youtu.be

...a sheep station for the bloke who works out the year n make of that!

But last time I rode it after a layup of a couple of months, it started easily. The bike in question is on the GC and on one of those wizz bang battery minders AND if it starts n runs when next I am up (down), there next it may prove tge vertues of Innox as by the the battery (2nd only I have ever put in the bike), will be getting on to 10 years+ I would think. Had the bike from new in 1997.

Could always get Baz to take a ride down and give it a run I suppose.

Cheers :-)

It's not the right Forum I know; but I needed to move my FJR1300 out of the garage today. I haven't started the bike since March and it has not been on a trickle charger. so I held out no hope of starting the bike. It started first time without a hitch. Being an ex-police bike it does have two batteries so that may be the reason.

Are they lithium batteries Lionel??

That may be the reason. I'm not familiar with the FJR systems, but I do jknow the ST1100 has a clock that runs (even if the display is off) , and i think the 1300 computer is still running after a fashion, so that is why our bikes do go falt over time. Even a 100mA drain will flatten the 18AH battery in 180hrs theoretically ( about 6 days) 10mA will be about 60 days. The damage is done to the battery if left flat for an extended period.

I've started my car by jump starting from my bike, worked well. Didn't have another car available to jump start off so tried my bike instead.

 Well Done!

Give those men a few ewes, velcros and some wellies :thumb I'll post the paddocks n dips :-)

The upshot Brock is yes, the Innox seems to have had a desired effect, last rode that bike earlier this year shortly before leaving for Europe. I might add that original battery quality may have a part to play. Unlike the 19th centuary Leon that has neither need for batteries nor spark plugs...progress eh!

Cheers:-)

IT WORKS!!! :rockon

OK...but first lets just back this thread up a tad.

Earlier on in this thread I made mention of the fact that I (in 2014), tried an INOX battery reconditioner in my 1997 1100 which I have had since new (even assisted Reg Jeffery (vale) get it outta the box))...it has a compliance plate, May 1997 and on or around 2006/7, I had cause to replace its original battery. I did so with another Japanese made Yuasa. And in 2014, a cold Victorian winter was causing it to struggle starting the bike in the early morns, so I gave the Inox a go.

This arvo, the bike having been laid up since June 2016, had had its carburetors well and truly drained, it required approx 30-40 seconds of continual cranking before the engine sparked into life. Hence it has been starting and running as per the norm.

So Bill, Brock et al...reckon this INOX WORKS! And works well, in good made battery to begin with, at least.

Not bad eh, for a 20 y.o. bike on its second battery ;-)

Cheers the can :-)

OEM Yuasa was still going strong in my 2006 NT700 Deauville when I traded it for the ST in 2016 :like. How do you treat sealed batteries with Inox?🤓

You cant, only wet batteries, and low maintenance batteries with removeable caps.

Brock..I have had the battery on one of those CTEK battery tenders. I'm planning to ride this bke a bit over next 2/12, so we will see if continues to perform as it did before June last year  ;-*
