What's the condition ? Is it completely unused and as-new ?  Purchase date?  I could be interested.

Oh, so there's two of them?  Nah, just kidding!
It looks as if it's had a little bit of use, but not much.  It also looks like it's a later model than mine, which was bought just 4 years ago.

Thank you Mr bloodbikes for a quick and easy transaction. The unit arrived overnight in very good condition.

Calling all 10S owners....  I've got a question about the 10S.  I got this unit from Pete coz I was thinking about buying a pair and I thought it would be good to try one out before I inflict one on SWMBO.  So far I've got it paired to my phone and it seems to work fine for phone calls, navigation and music.  The only gripe  is that I wish it had a smart way to adjust volume according to speed but I imagine that's just too bad.

One thing I've noticed, which may be a non-issue in real use, concerns the intercom.  When I hit the intercom button it spends a few seconds looking for another intercom and then gives up because obviously there isn't one. But during those few seconds it produces noticeable static in the left earpiece. I'm hoping that the static stops once it actually connects.  Does anyone else experience static when using their 10S?

Thanks,
Steve

Go here for the device manager, it will allow you to download the latest version of the firmware and allow you to change some parameters of the device operation.

The S10s don't compensate for road noise- you do that if required, on the jog dial.
I haven't encountered static, but I'm always paired with another set.  I wouldn't worry about it- it may well go away when you get the second unit.

I use mine with earmolds which cuts out a lot of excessive wind noise, can’t say I’ve heard static, you can buy a handlebar remote that works controls.

Thanks all for the suggestions.  I updated the firmware, which didn't seem to make any difference of itself, but I decided it's a non-issue anyway. When I got Ruth's headset I found that the buzzing happens for a second while it's establishing an intercom session, and then it's quiet-as.  When we are riding you can't hear the buzz above ambient anyway so I was fussing over nothing as Biggles suggested.  Presumably it cranks up the radio power to max for a short time while it is looking for devices to talk to.

I ended up getting us a 20S EVO dual-pack (because SWAMBO likes to match  :p ) , so bloodbikes' 10S is back in its box waiting for a rainy day or a buyer.  If anyone is interested PM me. Otherwise I might pass it on to my daughter.
