Pilot Road 2s now replaced with the same again (110/80-18 front, 170/60-17 rear). Got 17,600 out of the pair, but they were down to the wear bars and starting the handle a bit strangely in the corners due to the wear patterns - the front just did not match the back any more. The rear still had some centre tread left but the sides were cactus. I used dynabeads for balancing, but have nothing to judge against until I put on some tyres I have used before with weights.
Front and rear brake pads will be due in the next 10,000kms. The fronts were put on when I replaced the front rotors, all metal gear. Rotors are in great condition after 83,000kms, pads have lasted the same distance so I think I will go for more of the same. Sintered pads I have used before lead to premature rotor wear (replaced at 100,000kms), and lasted only 20,000kms or so.
