Winston 66 wonders,
I have seen some comments and horror stories about failures of a fuel hose on these machines I think it is the main fuel feed from the top tank that fails when the tank is lifted for maintainance of the air box e tc.
Would someone please advise which item it is that is likely to have problems and is there a part number and or a recommended supplier for that part, and the probable cost.
Thanks everyone.

try that Winston66

I have my bike in bits at the minute and lifted the tank for a look. This bike is 10 years old and I had the same thought about fuel hose condition too.
Gave them all a good looking at and they seem fine. I didn't pull the tank all the way to the rear either and only lifted it till it was able to sit on the bar grip with a bit of lock.

My concern was age and perished rubber. The bikes not going back together for a few days yet and I might just replace the hose anyway.

Thanks for the feedback  Gatey and Streak.
Thats good
However I am still confused as the two stealers that I have contacted have neglected to come back to me with any relevant information it is almost as if it is too much trouble for them to worry about.
So much for customer service.
Is anyone able to cast a light as to what is the relevant part number for the probable replacement and which dealer is able to supply at a reasonable cost?
Cheers.
