A bit more to add from what I wrote in the Mundulla RTE post.
The pasty Pete has mentioned is the Ploughman's pasty. Delicious. But after the lamington at Wellington, the pasty at Coonalpyn, meant I couldn't order the mixed grill at Mundulla, although Sir JD did offer to share, and it was suggested the leftovers would make a breakfast as well. My compensatory steak was very good though.
I highly recommend the ride from Mundulla to Kingston SE. Just over an hour's ride, a few bumpy sections and some nice bends, hills & straights. One very bouncy section of 3ks about 20km from Mundulla, but there is a warning beforehand. Overall very good. A bit of wildlife to watch out for, saw alive & many dead roos, as well as deceased echidna & wombat.
Refuelled at Kingston after checking a few memory spots, pic of Larry, then off on the roughly 260km to home. The highway has some good bits, but a lot of bouncy sections. A couple of overtaking lanes added since my last time on that road closer to Meningie.
Left Mundulla around 9.30 am to the sounds of still celebrating football players, with the stop at Kingston, was home by just after 1.30, in time to cut the lawn.
All up, around 655km round trip for a very enjoyable SA/VIC RTE. Good food, drink, great riding & most importantly, great company.
