VICTORIA / Re: RTE Sebastopol Sunday 9 June 2024
« Last post by ruSTynutz on May 28, 2024, 06:00:53 PM »
Hmmm, Sue told me she now wants to go to this RTE!

But, she said it's too cold for the bike so we have to go in the car... :||||

Of course, I ended up in the poo for insisting we need to go on the bike as it's a bike RTE plus I'm also hanging out for a ride, yadda yadda yadda... :whistle

So, in the end we compromised...we're now going on the bike, unless the weather is crap...

So, after all that we now have:
  • Bodø
  • Helen & Michael
  • Russell & Sue
  • Nigel
  • ppopeye (Chris maybe)
  • Moto Guzzi MV Agusta Martin - maybe
  • BMW Doug - maybe
  • Yamaha Rob - maybe
  • Marcus

General Discussion / Re: ECU repair

Does anyone know the position on the ecu connector where the RH knock sensor feeds to?

Knock sensors wiring should be on the grey plug on the ecu, one is black and the other is red/green. Check the colour of the wire at the knock sensor , also check the ground wire .
Cheers.

Yet another YouTube video...https://youtu.be/qA6hqEAvMPo?si=r7Sixy3fpocVyhch

I was interested in the power & torque figures quoted but did wonder about their accuracy when the guy said the SOUO was a 2000cc inline 4!  :rofl

GWM SOUO            *216.9nm @4500rpm   180hp
                               vs
HONDA GOLDWING *169.4nm @5500rpm   125hp

* I converted the figures from ft lb to nm as the figures quoted meant nothing to me...  :grin

Long-time rider & stalker here... I'm actually pencilling this one in  :grin . I'll be on something German, so will park at the end - out of view  8) .

I had a R1200RT at Tassie in 19, Mannum in 22 and a R1250GSA in Mansfield this year.

If we're lucky the caravans won't outnumber the bikes at the next one  :angry-old-man-smiley-emoticon

Plastic, Fairings, Panniers and Top Box's 1300 / Re: BAGSTER tank clips
« Last post by Williamson on May 28, 2024, 03:51:18 PM »
So.... my Bagster tank cover is missing the clips that hold it to the tank.
Apparently, the Australian distributor isn't bringing them in and can't supply parts.
They're horrendously expensive to get from OS....

Any creative/handy types out there able to suggest an alternative?

What's the expensive part?  I found 'em for around AU$14 each, although the website hasn't been updated since 2021, so probably closer to $20.  If it's the postage from UK or US, there are members on STOwners.com that'll will forward them on.

Are they plastic or metal?  :think1

Mine are Bagster OEM, they're plastic.  May be another job for the 3D printer.
