2010 Black ST1300 - repairable write off

My original ST1300 is up for auction on Thursday, next week.

This link goes to their listing:
http://www.manheim.com.au/recreation/4239229/2010-honda-st1300a-black-motorcycle?referringPage=SearchResults

The search key is the Manheim material number, 4239229.

Mechanically it's sound, but requires a new set of clothes. Engine, transmission, exhaust and mufflers are faultless. Left pannier and top box are good. The front fairing bracket, headlight and most of the fairing etc plus a fork leg and front wheel and guard are all damaged. If you're interested, I can send you the quote from Rising Sun Honda and show you the Partzilla pricing.

If I didn't find a replacement for a reasonable price, I was going to try to get this back. It should be less than $4,000 and then get all the required genuine parts directly from Partzilla in the USA for about $6,000 - about half of our retail price. The bike would have to be reinspected before being taken off the RWO register, at a cost of about $600 from what I was told. This means that you can have a near new 2010 ST1300 for about $12,000, so long as you're good with your hands and have a few weeks spare.
