So worse case scenario you just go and buy a ST1100 for the price of a factory supplied colour and key coded pannier....
Last time I checked 1100 panniers didn't fit 1300s  :grin

If I'm gunna get into the shyte, it might as well be deep, so perhaps I should make room in the garage for another ST13.

Crocman has a left-hand side pannier that I believe he wants to sell...
I've sent him a message so he should jump on the forum when he gets home from work :thumbs

Feeling your pain mike.
Real easy to do too, been there done that. About 4 years back Val & I decibded to take a week on our Kiwi bike whilst  in transit in NZ enroute to the USA for  3months ST touring. Left Napier after having to  jump start her, had accidentally left the heated grips on o/nite, Rode c5kms to gas up before heading north to Taupo, pannier missing so immediately retraced our route twice, nothing to be found, reported  it to the police then left town. Had arranged travel insurance etc etc but it didn’t kick in until we got to the States.a couple of days later!!
All Val’s stuff including her brand new named Ozsto shirt, bathers, layers, underwear, everything. Not happy Jan!! Replaced it all along the way,
The new  pannier was claimed on NZbike insurance because it was deemed an  integral part of the bike but they wouldn’t meet the pannier lock being paired to the bike or get paint to accurately match, deemed it was red enough!!!
Anyway, my guess new would be A$1600 paired and matching colour, only good thing is yours is black, that has to be easy to match.
Keep punching, nobody was injured but still a bummer!!
Cheers
Neil

Wanna bet?  I thought it would be a simple matter to match white paint.  Do you know how many shades of white there are?    :eek

Well, nobody correctly guessed the Honda Dealer (HD) quote for the replacement of the LH pannier.

The answer is greater than $2,500.  Did I hear anyone say Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and / or protest along lines of that is BS, crap, ridiculous, outrageous ........ ?

The nice lady from the HD explained that Honda Australia (HA) do not supply a complete pannier, but they can supply all of the parts, and there are 30 plus individual parts in the pannier if you include screws, clips, lock parts, etc...    And then the quote includes $195 for 1.5 hours labour to assemble it.

I have an acquaintance who works for HA, he confirmed this idiotic arrangement.

I checked Partzilla, and summed the individual parts, that came to around half the HA quote.  Methinks we are being ripped-off here in OZ.

I had a similar experience with my 1100.

Quoted Honda price at the time was about $1800 and from the UK it was about $600 plus postage.

In both cases the item would have come from Japan; the seller in the UK was making a profit at his price so how much profit is the Honda warehouse making out of it.

In the end I found a used one from a member.

Right! That decides it for me! When Ruby 2sday comes up for replacement she goes out to the back to be available for parts. Then I can sell Williamson panniers for $1000 and he'll be getting a bargain!!   |-i
