As who likes patches, I have had patches for the Middleton and Ballarat National Rallys made.
They are based on the badges for each rally. They are approx 70 mm in dia.
IIf anybody is interested I will be happy to have more made and post them to you.
The art work for both patches cost $132 and patches $19.80 each.
I help recover the cost of the art my thoughts are to to supply them at $25.00 each posted.
If enough are purchased to cost of the art work is recovered the difference would them be passed onto OzSTOC.

I am in Norseman tonight, Border Village tomorrow night, handover the 88 Wing and ride my 20 Wing back to Norseman and home Monday night so will reply to above then. Respose to date has now well and truly covered the art work so the OzSTOC kitty will get a little boost.

I have just been talking to St George about ironing his patch onto leather. The outcome was that while the instructions below that came with a commercial iron on patch I purchased in the US say not to iron a patch onto leather neither of us could see a major concern so St George will most likely try it and then we will know.

It may burn and srink the leather into a hard spot, thats what happened to a pair of gloves that got too close to the heater. Leather isnt a fabric, and doesnt like high heat, just think skin.

This is just my opinion, but it might be more prudent to hand stitch them on. I've had a few done to my Ulysses vest with like coloured cotton and they came out pretty good, and it'd sure beat ruining a good bit of leather kit:

Regarding using the iron-on facility of the Ballarat patch on a leather coat the problem is easily solved - I will use the same contact adhesive that I used on my Aldi m/c boots last time, apply a thin coat to each surface, let cure until glue is no longer sticky but just tacky to touch then apply patch with mild pressure. The contact adhesive I have is weather proof so all probs are solved.

Thanks Glen received mine. They look terrific. Unsure where to put mine, I might hold off for a while and see if the OzSTOC jacket comes off...
