2016 National Rally Shirt replacement.
« on: April 06, 2016, 05:13:38 PM »
We now have confirmation from the shirts screen printer that a power fluctuation during the printing process is the cause of the print fading on the shirts.

The screen printer is going to under take a replacement of the entire batch of shirts.

We are going to assist the screen printer who is going take a considerable loss on this deal with some central hubs to post the shirts to in National Rally attendee saturated areas. I.e all of the Shirts destined for Canberra members will go to one nominated member for dispersment/collection in Canberra etc.

Wombat has already committed to accept the Perth shirts  :-++

The Rally Pins will also a company the reproduced shirts.

All who attended are aware of the members who attended in their immediate vasinity, if you wish to nominate a collection member and the attendees shirts you will disperse it would be a great help and I can allowcate these shirts to you from the Rally attendees spread sheet. Just post below  :thumbsup

If you are more than say an hours travel to the designated hub, we will have your shirt and pin posted directly to you at the address details you provided during rally registration.

There will be no need to return the faded shirts.

Thanks for your understanding and patients  ;-*

I'm happy to be the Canberra Hub.

I would also be happy to donate some dollars to the printer . . Not sure how much . . $10 or $20 . . In that vicinity . . Appreciate not entirely his fault and I do have the original Tee shirt as well . .

As you compile the requirements for a re-run, you may count Chris and I out of the need for new T-shirts.    :thumb

I will be driving Brisbane to Kentucky on 4th May
and Kentucky to Brisbane 6th May so if the Tees shits are going via Guyra I can pick up the WA ones.

And I will be flying into Adelaide 10th May  and shall be based in Victor Harbor for a few days.

So happy to do what I can to save on postage.

Hi Chris,
We received four shirts as a result of our registration (ie myself and Ros plus our friends David and Sue). None of us need a replacement and are happy with the ones we were given at Perth. You can delete our resupply from your list. It is not much but it might help ease the cost a little.
Cheers

I saw the comments online before ours made it to the washing machine. I was advised by SWMBO to soak them in salty water first before washing and the result seems to be that there is no colour runs, though the black is a bit faded. I wouldnt bother about replacements either, I had no plans to wear it to a meeting with the Queen, or even when visiting Mum.

I am of the same opinion as some of the other members in that i don't require a replacement shirt as the one i got is OK... Maybe a list should be started as to establish how many members require replacement shirts instead of having a complete order redone by the supplier.

I am happy to just have the shirt I got in Perth too . . As is Jill . . I haven't consulted with Lionel. I think he is still in Brisbane for a funeral, but I would be surprised if he would require a replacement shirt.

As you have a list of attendees, might I suggest an email to those who haven't posted yet.

Emails sent tonight to Rally attendees advising of the replacement plan for shirts and deliver of the pins.

If you have commented above that you don't require a replacement that fine thanks......but if you would like to change your mind that fine too.

We're both happy with what we have, thankyou.
Missus Biggles only rinsed ours gently and there was only a bit of colour bleed.
The suggestion regarding a salt water soak is very good, and will minimise any further damage.
Hopefully the supplier won't lose much at all- he's just a small business owner, not Bonds.
