Dunlop tyres

(1/1)

G'day thrillseekers.

Thought I might share something with you. Put a set of Dunlop Roadsmart 2 tyres on, and, they are effing fantastic!! I had a set of Michelins on before, and I never felt I could quite trust them. The Dunlops however, have boosted my confidence no end. They feel "solid". Cornering is a breeze, and straight line stability great!!

I would recommend them

( No I am not getting paid for this....................

Must be an improved version, because so many people have had bad experiences that they call them "Dunflops".
I know the Michelin PR4GTs on the ST1300 are fantastic, so if the Dunlops are better I need to try them.
I test-rode the black ST1300 for a mate the other day and almost ran over the first roundabout, being used to my ST loving the lean and flick. They were original Bridgestones with 7500 (and the front with only 1000 kays left on it).  It's a 2010 bike, so they will have gone hard.  Horrible feeling!

Here's a Roadsmart 2 front at around 7000 km - not sure why the canvas would be showing as it's below the tread limit indicators. The tyre has been running at about 38 PSI which caused no issues on the previous Bridgestone and PR3s. Maybe this tyre was faulty.

Currently running a PR4 GT on the front which gave a remarkable improvement over the Dunlop in regards to handling and braking @ 36 PSI

The rear has a Roadsmart 3 on and looks to be on par @ 6000 km with other rears that have been on before; about 50/60% wear.

Interesting comments. These have been touted quite a bit in the motorcycle magazines such as m/c Trader, and m/c news, so maybe they are the "new improved" model.

I was never happy on the Michelins, maybe because I had never used them before. They are brand new atm having only done about 500 k's, so it remains to be seen how they pan out.
