Post by: Jinxy on May 11, 2018, 07:34:23 AM
ST is not playing the game. It starts, rides well but just keeps blowing the one 10amp fuse.

HONDA ST1100 1999 50th Anniversary with TCS/ABS and DBS.

There may have been a wire added to the tail light wire, to switch a relay, that wire could be going to ground some where

Wow!  You can't be accused of not trying before asking!
Brock's suggestion has great merit.  Farklers use that wire all the time for switched relays.

And very, very, very rarely, the relay coil short circuits and blows fuses.

when the trouble fuse has blown , please advise what function ,ie, horn lights , indicators ,or something else fails to operate , this will give you some idea as to what item or associated wireing is causing the problem.
Please advise,
Cheers, Winston66, Northampton WA,

Have found some exposed wires ect behind the dashboard. Waiting for Autoelectrician to come check it out. Still blowing the fuse. On the last occasion a small wisp of smoke came from behind the dashboard. Yellow tapes indicates where the wires are. Also cleaned out a few hornets nests

Not sure about blue plug but the green one with the grey wiring looks like an added extra so would interesting to see where that one goes to and I don't recall the red one near the IGN/TCS unit though it looks like it's on the LH headlight wiring so could be the feed wire to a driving light relay.

It's a lot messier in there than mine is even after I replaced one headlight plug.
