I know there was discussion of moving the Robe overnighter to Harrow (Mr Miyagi says g'day by the way) but where did you get the dates from?  I should be up for this once I know the dates for sure.

Maybe I missed the post but I was waiting for the ride to be posted.

Do you have a link to the Vic RTE calendar?

Not so easy to find. This link http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=7331.0 takes you to this link https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=en&hl=en&mid=1gCw8zL_0bvNM62OfGVJzNakxQOU&ll=-28.819523987945306%2C145.43707945000006&z=4 which then shows Harrow as an overnight RTE.

The Vic calendar is here: http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=9674.25

It may prompt the Mexican RTEs to put something up as well in confirmation.

Time to keep this one rolling, but a bit of house keeping first.

Running with two similar, parallel threads in the SA and VIC sections of the forum, might lead to some inconsistencies with information being posted.  I suggest we close one of the threads with a link to the '"live" thread, and because the SA thread had more information (than the VIC thread), we keep the SA thread live, and close the VIC thread.

It would obviate the need for duplicate posts, like this.

I went there in 2016.  I don't recall there being much there accommodation wise.  Actually I don't recall there being much there at all, although I did take half a dozen photos around town.  If I can't find anything I'll consider staying Balmoral.

Not many options when I searched.  The pub (I’ve emailed them), a couple of B&B’s (emailed one) and the camping ground (one cabin, but plenty of tent sites).

Looks like camping will be the go.

Are you okay with the one (SA) thread?

I could make the previous post a new topic and lock previous comments if that works better.

Those in Vic might want to lock their own page but put a link into here as well.

If accommodation is going to be an issue, do we need to shift back to Robe, or maybe Kev territory at Portland?

No response from the pub, as yet.

Thank you for your enquiry Michael
The Seldom Inn is available on Sat 17th November.

For one bed for one night the base rate is $155.00 + GST = $170.50 For one night for 2 couples (2 beds used) is $181.50 incl GST.

The fee gives you full and private use of the cottage.

The cottage is very comfortable with quality cotton linen and towels supplied, well equipped kitchen, reverse cycle air-conditioning and combustion wood heater.

Best Regards
Suzanne Waugh

The Seldom Inn is only a short walk to the pub, which could make it an ideal location for four people (two couples?) for the weekend.   I'll see if I can put in a tentative booking and reserve it for four people, and post an update when more info is available.

OK Michael,

Have pencilled you in at the Seldom Inn for the Saturday night 17th Nov, happy to keep it tentatively till the end of the week.
This gives your group first option on it, let me know as soon as you can if you wish to confirm this booking.

Great to hear a group of you are visiting Harrow, look forward to having you stay.

Best Regards

And at just over $45 per head per night, it's not bad value.

Looking at the hotel website (in my post) it looks like you will have to phone the hotel after 3 pm Vic time on weekdays rather than email for accommodation.
