Paint protection
« on: October 05, 2011, 02:54:58 PM »
I received a Tankslapper paint protection kit in the post today from (you guessed it) http://thetankslapper.biz/
I'll let you know how I go putting it on. I was sick of getting boot scuff marks on the panniers whenever I mounted up >:(

Ahhhh so its a 3M product and  like its vinyl????
Now me being cheap, I'd just pop along to my local sign writing crowd and ask em for some clear 3M vinyl. You can also get it in any color including a carbon fiber look, which I used on my Blackbird, hmmmmmm.
Now a mate of mine whom I've helped put this stuff on uses a touch of dish washing detergent in his spray gun with water as it helps the vinyl slide around to where you want to put it.
From memory, a meter of the clears maybe round 20/30 dollars
