Thanks everyone for your attendance at the 2023 National Rally in Mudgee.

We need to acknowledge the fantastic effort by Joso and Wilko for hosting our event.

This years Award winners,

An impromptu Rallies Silliest moment went to A2Z for his accidental mingling with the Morris Minor club also having a meet & greet at the same venue thinking these guys must be just OzSTOC members he hadn’t meet yet…..I believe he finally got wise when they didn’t share their chips with him. Then backs up the next morning being an honorary 1%er with his new found breakfast club friends from the Comancheros.

Furtherest Travelled to Rally: This to Gavo & Bronwyn from W.A with 4100 k’s to Rally, until this adventure Bronwyn's biggest ride was 500ks.

Most Charismatic ST: Was Judged by last years recipient Kev Murphy was awarded to Sulkybear for his well travelled black ST1100.

2023 Bike of the Year: Was judged by last years winner Wilko, he selected Biggles as a worthy recipient with a couple of other coming very close. It was the reflective tape on the rear of Bills bike that sealed the deal.

Member of the Year (MOTY) this year I judged a little differently to previous years. In the past we have looked at members who it is obvious is making a contribution to the group that is more in your face proactive. This year I looked at a person who does so much for our group in the background, keeps our forum pure and on course.

While I normally engage with the other couple of Mods on this decision it was a moderator that I really want to acknowledge as MOTY and be out of the blue….

Congratulations Brock from W.A who moderates our forum with care, compassion and a sense of community upholding the core values of our group.

Thanks again to everyone who attend, contributed and made for another great event.

Thanks Chris, Ladies and Gentleman (if I am allowed to say that these days.. Ah bugger it, I said it any way) and Kev for his addition to the trophy.. This was totally unexpected, As Mods and Admin are usually exempt from nomination , I am truly humbled..
And now a quick word from me..

Many thanks to Wilco for nominating Rubina for the award.  She didn't get it for being the cleanest, I know, with bugs and road dirt from Brisbane to Mudgee via Newcastle.  Nor the highest kays, with about 117,500.  Maybe apart from the reflective panniers it was the 14 (at the last count) other mods that got her over the line.  Anyway, it's straight to the poolroom for her plaque.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Yes, another top NatRally, thanks to all those involved in organising, especially the local guys (Joso & Wilko) who didn't have much local support.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

It was a great rally and a good opportunity to catch up with forum members that we had not met before.

Thanks to everyone involved in making a great weekend.
