Sargent seat
« on: December 10, 2019, 08:44:57 PM »
Hey folks,  does anyone in SE Queensland have Sargent seat that I could pop my butt on for a while?

Our recent 4 week trip around Victoria was a real blast, but it did reenforce the need for seat attention. We found that after 2-3 hours of riding we were getting decidedly fidgety, even with breaks.

I’ve sort of ruled out an RDL. Shiney let me try his, and while I understand that Shiney’s RDL was built for someone with totally different body shape to me I also have read that any RDL will add about 25mm to the seat height. Being a little bloke that kills it for me.

If anyone has a Sargent I’d be happy to use it as an excuse to go for a ride to wherever you are -:)

I had a Corbin, it was firm and horse saddle shaped, and I could ride that for a full fuel tank distance. No added seat height.

Thanks PC.  I've never seen that one before.

Would that be this stealth seat?  https://www.saddlemen.com/stealth-seat-st-sport-touring-series-honda?search=

Is this still your current seat or have you moved on from that?  How do you find it?

Thanks Joso.  There's a local guy down here named John Moorhouse who also has a good rep.  I've been thinking of giving him a go, but I guess I'm attracted by the idea of being able to try something up front rather than 'just hoping' that a modification works as hoped.

That sounds like a great excuse for a ride Leo.  I'll be in touch next year.  A cruise to NZ sounds awesome :-)

Yep that's the one I found it an inprovement on the oem but wasn't just quite there for Navgirl and I
We invested in a Russell daylong
Also just my experience  I took my seats to John Morehouse     All I can say is after a discussion and 2 attemps  a piece of 6x1 hard wood could be a better option  60ks was too far for me on his seat  and nearly $400  As I said just my experience
