I'm guessing all the white is reflective.
If so, it should stand out well in night lights.

The major thing I am looking for is quality, as well as myself inspecting it, I asked my embroider, and my corporate wear staff member to go over the jacket looking for finish, stitching, consistent Colour, to get a neutral non motorcycle view as well.

The girls gave it a thumbs up to the above.

Part of this process is to make sure what is put to OzSTOC has had every available box ticked, and we are getting something that is going to be fantastic for us all.

Part of why diesel and I are going on a 3 day ride this weekend is to road test the jacket, so that we can deliver a comprehensive review of the jacket.

And yes Biggles, my big failing was putting on weight from my original measurements, so I have to do all the hard work to make it fit again  :rofl

It Has Arrived!!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS.....

Fitting:

Sizing wise they are very close, it is marked as an XL, should be marked as an Large, but that is part of what we are doing is working all this out, as we can get them to change the sizing on the measurements, unfortunately i have put on 5kg since i did my measurements to get it made, so it is a firm fit on my not so hourglass figure, but that is my fault not the manufacturers (to many pies at RTE's).

Jacket Quality:

This i am VERY impressed with, everything is very net and tidy right down to the embroidery of the OzSTOC artwork, all the clips are solid and strong, the vents are not over long but well placed, there is inside the jacket for zipping to riding pants.

the Colours are excellent, the orange is not over bright but distinctive, the white is the same, and the black sets everything off nicely.

Testing

Keeping in mind i have not ridden in this jacket yet (i am taking it out this weekend for a ride test hoping to get plenty of conditions to try it in!)

IMPORTANT!

This is just an update, and not a final opinion or jacket, so please wait until i have ride tested it, i am going to do a full video review to send to all OzSTOC members via email, and also post up here and facebook so everyone gets a full 100% rundown on the jacket.

Here is the place to leave feedback guys on the proposed OzSTOC Jacket, based on what you see here in the pictures and what you will see in the coming week with the video presentation, we need to collate all your advise before we go into production, so have your say....as a wise man once said "silence is agreement"  once the garment is into production it will be to late to change the plan.......:think1

My 2 bobs worth.....should we consider a belt loop instead of OR in addition to a zipper at the rear of the jacket to attach to a belt on jeans....the zipper is great but relies on a matching zip being on your riding pants or you need sew the other side of this to your pants (bet very few ppl have ever done that  :whistle)

Stretching Belt loop can be attached by press stud or Velcro and assist in the prevention of the jacket riding up in a not so graceful dismount  :think1

What do you think ?

Here is pic from one of our current jackets....

Good idea. It looks exactly like I need to replace my summer jacket and normal to cold weather jackets. I have used the zen adven jacket and pants for months now, so expect the quality and function to be great.

One question about whether the warm liner and zen adven pants will zip in?
This would just be a bonus for me, not necessary features.

Belt loops or zipper matters not to me, I have never had pants that can zip to the jacket, or really dont see the need.

Some jackets ride up a bit leaving a gap between pants and jacket, especially for those equipped with plenty of "padding" to protect their tailbone.
Not so evident on STs with their "sit up and beg" posture as on the crotch rockets with their "prostrate and pray" position.

I tried on the New OzSTOC jacket at Streak's house this afternoon, though it was not my size I was very impressed with it.

I think it is well put together, stitching zips and clips look all good quality. Streak and I went all over the jacket checking all pockets, zips,
A separate winter and water proof liner that can be put in together or separate they seem to slip in and out with ease.

As Streak pointed out it seems to be small for an XL so sizing will have to be worked out

The waterproof pockets in the front/ bottom have a zip and flap to cover it up, two top pockets and a pocket inside for mobile phone
also there is a pouch on the back to store liners or anything you wish

The orange is not overpowering like I thought as it is not glossy, and the OzSTOC logo blends in well
The removable back padding looks good quality and some sown into the outside material, it also has removable elbow and shoulder pads
The jacket is not heavy like a winter jacket and with the air vents I'm sure it would be cool on a hot day

Final outcome
I am very impressed with the way it is put together and wish it was in my size to make a full test and report

I like the belt loop idea. Never thought of that. I find me leather jacket although made longer at the back still let a draft up on the last run.

The quality of the jacket and overall workmanship is excellent.   I agree with Leo's comments about the pockets, liners and other features of the jacket.  The jacket sizing needs correcting but apart from that I was impressed and will be ordering one.

Had a look at the new jacket, quality is top notch. Love the vents, good placement of pockets :like :like :like. I'm not a orange person but this is very tastefully done.
