Well the OzSTOC Jacket is so close we can taste it! Here is the review that diesel and I did at Bucca on the weekend, we are no revzilla, but we did our best  :rofl

Please note that there is no liners in this jacket, I am doing a separate video for them hopefully in the next day or so.

We are just waiting on confirmation on a couple of small changes we have asked for then we can get into ordering!

Thank you everyone for being patient  :thumb

Pretty good review considering the autocue was on the blink.   ++

Streak, I know you've been doing some body building lately, however, the jacket does seem to be a little short. Was it riding up once you were in city or touring mode?

Nicely done guys.

are the press studs down the center front covered with rubber or are they metal?  It would be nice to have all the press studs rubberised.

Streak, I know you've been doing some body building lately, however, the jacket does seem to be a little short. Was it riding up once you were in city or touring mode?

Taking into account is was to small for me, it is shorter than a full touring jacket, but it did not ride up on me, it also has a slightly longer back to cover your bum a bit more, I was wearing it in under 10 degrees and it felt just fine

Nicely done guys.

The clips are all metal TJ, we where actually quite happy with the look of them on the jacket 😄

It may well be that TJ's concern is that the metal studs may be "Tank Scratchers", and rubberised stud covers would help to prevent paintwork damage.  That would certainly be my concern.

(TJ, I trust  I'm not putting words in your mouth.......Pete )

I find velcro is a good fastener and no chance of scratching the tank! I find that the studs often lose their rubber caps and sometimes come apart alltogether and then trying to get replacements to match can be a problem.

Looking good, appreciate all the effort being taken.  Question : how waterproof is the jacket?  My current jacket is not all that waterproof - but it should be.  Meaning I have to wear a waterproof over jacket at any time beyond a light drizzle.

From Talking to Mark, the outershell is about 80% waterproof, it will handle a decent shower of rain, or light drizzle and the like, but if your in a downpour/heavy rain, it comes with a waterproof liner, this is part of the trade off for wanting the venting ability of the outer jacket  :thumb

Making a motorcycle Jacket that is truly waterproof is impossible in this price bracket.....in the sub $500 dollar jackets half the time you get wet because it leaked and the other half because it didn't breath and you sweat in the jacket......either way your wet  :think1

The comment I have heard from the few that have assessed this Jacket is based on the quality of material, options and workmanship, you would expect to pay in the $275 to $375 price range from other manufactures...... ;-*

Great review Streak and Diesel. The jacket looks good.  :thumb

The only comment I'd make would be in regards to lengthening the velcro wrist tabs. I would assume it's rare to ride with the wrist zippers open, so having a longer length of velcro material so that you can still attached it with the zippers open might mean you end up with an excess of material flapping in the breeze when the zipper is closed? Other than that it looks great.  :clap

yep could not agree more Barry, we discussed just adding 30mm to it, so that it keeps the wrist nice and open, but does not create a big strap when it is done up fully

Congratz Streak. While the jacket didn't cover U so well, U covered the jacket very well and together with the filmic skill of Diesel we r much the wiser and chomping at the bit (as all good STeed owners do) for the forthcoming delivery.

I especially liked the expandable waterproof pockets with Velcro AND zip. With the other refinements it is easily the best design of jacket I've seen and black, orange and white is a gr8 combo IMHO. So if the sizing is sorted we'll all b happy chappies & chickies.

One question tho: Will future ozSTOCers be able to buy one at a similar price or will they have to wait until another bulk order is placed?

Thanx Streak and Diesel 4 your efforts.

Minimum order is 40 Jackets for now and the future, the feedback from the few members who have reviewed the Jacket has been very positive, so it may be a long long time before another order can be placed.  :think1

The order form should be in place next week with all sizing issues address, the minor modifications attended to and importantly a fool proof method of sizing your custom Jacket will be posted, so have your dress makers tape at the ready guys.
