Anyone got an ST1300 coming up for sale?
« on: September 29, 2018, 04:57:06 PM »
Due to selling my ST1100P, I'm looking for a quick replacement. Cant find anything online suitable so before I defect to a GTR1400 or FJR just seeing if anyone is looking at or thinking of selling their 1300 in the next week?

Actually just noticed this one:https://www.bikesales.com.au/bikes/details/2003-Honda-ST1300-ABS/SSE-AD-5365598/ Does anyone know the bike/owner in Taree?

Thanks mate, I've had a chat with Rick and its over my $8,500 budget. Looks like the GTR will be the next bike at this rate.

Just had a look at this one - owned by a police rider. A year older than mine and about 30,000 km less.

I see that the CTX is no longer listed on the Honda Australia web site as one of their line up.
"Fransvdm" from FarRiders rode one to the Glendambo RTE.

Rereading Royce's account and seeing Franz's at Wandoan, I'm still not seeing it as the answer to the ST1300.  The much smaller tank, no electric screen, no CC and looking too much like the ugly F6B make it hard for me to like.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I had a thought that a cruiser might be my 'Life after ST' ride, but after spending a bit of time on one in the last few months, I don't think that is my 'go'. I prefer the sit 'on' rather than 'in' my motorcycle. Just my perverted preference. I feel I have a lot more control on a 'more upright' riding position rather than the low slung position of a cruiser/bobber. I like the look of, and the reviews on, the Kawasaki Z900RS. I may be considering selling my blue '04 1300 early next year but not 100% guaranteed at this point. It has just ticked over 60,000, although I'll put a few k's on it riding to Phillip Island and back from Brissy later in the month. Watch this space.

This would be worth considering:-

http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=13052.msg1245117#new

Even better if it was red but then Biggles would be buying it  :wink1

The last of the minor changes were made from 2008.

Being on consignment there will probably be room to move with the price to fit your budget.
