No wonder it sold so quickly.  With a salesman like you, it's a wonder it took so long   :grin

I quote from the advert:

"The only thing not to like about this bike is that you don't own it. It has never been used as a commuter with basically all the k's being good long trip mileage. This of course is it's intended design and the way it does it is extroadinary. I have ridden a lot of bikes and travelled a lot of k's over the past 40 yrs of bike riding but nothing I have ridden (including Gold wings and Harleys) is like the ST1300. An absolute jewel of a motor, 90 thousand k's on this bike is nothing at all and it makes beautiful music. You will bond quickly with this bike. It's not a snob and enjoys a chat with a rider who will listen."
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Hi Wayne,
Neil from Emerald, nice work, looks the goods too all sparkled up. !!! Want to talk with you about the driving lights on your ST. Looking for some for mine.
I'm still down here in Inverloch but I,ll be back in Emerald  (Avonsleigh) tomorrow just for the day doing my annual door knocking of our neighborhood for The Heart Foundation. I,m eternally grateful after suffering a stroke some 14 years ago -I was one of the lucky ones!!
If you are now feeling a desperate need to check out a Deauville give me a call in the morning, I can meet you at home. I should be all finished here & back home full-time by mid next week, as long as there are no more storms, trees down everywhere here, just got our power back on this pm, the garden mulcher is bloody exhausted!!!!
I fired up the Deauville last weekend, gave it a wash, you will be impressed.
Cheers
Neil

Hi Couch
Mate when you say tactical boots am I correct in assuming you mean Army/Police type combat boots?
I am the bloke lucky enough to be getting WayneO's bike as soon as I can get down there to pick it up.
A great bloke to deal with.

Hi Roadrunner,
This is the boots that Couch was referring too

I wear 5.11 Tactical ATAC 8" Shield Boots

“Tactical boots with ASTM F2413-05 M C75175 EH safety toe they are CSA certified. Features waterproof-breathable blood borne pathogen resistant bacterial and moisture-wicking lining with hidden pocket a YKK™: side zip ,Shock Mitigation System™ and oil and slip resistant, quiet outsole .”

I picked them up for $152.96 delivered from:

http://www.shoebuy.com/511-tactical-atac-8-shield-boot/401271/856148

They have discounts that change every couple of days, I got the boots when they had 20% off

Cheers

Hello Shiney and welcome to the forum Roadrunner.

Shiney, a question about these boots. I was hoping that they the supplier may suggest  some way to take the guess
work out of what size is correct for you. I generally take a size 9 but in some shops it can vary from 8.5 to 9.5.
depending upon, I guess, the different manufacturers styles and materials etc.

My question is because they are mail order on the internet, have you found there general sizing to be accurate?
I would like to buy a pair but don't really want to be sending them back for replacement if they don't fit.

Any thoughts? But, I really do like them and suffering from duck's disease, they would help me heaps.

cheers and happy travels,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

The size is accurate IMHO, but ask Couch for a second opinion :wink1

I found them to be the best tactual boots I have owned :thumbsup
The only downside was they can get a bit toasty when riding all day in summer (Queensland) :H

Thanks for that mate I am a little taller than Wayne'O but a bit of added inside leg will not go astray.
I get up your way now and then maybe we can catch up once I have the bike here. I am in Tweed Heads.
