National Eastern States Multi RTE Invitation Ride (DIESEL TT TOUR)

Hi all.
You may know by now that I am moving to Tasmania at the end of September, and have to ride my ST and trailer down on the final trip.   

An open invitation is extended to all Members to drop by and see me and my entourage at an point and at any time along the route (below).

Some may only be able to make it for a coffee, lunch, overnight camp or even ride a few dozen or hundred kms with us.

We are bringing our own kitchen facilities and will be cooking up a BBQ storm each night after purchasing fresh meat and ingredients each day from local suppliers. This means that we are catering for anyone who want to join us for dinner, but we'll give the head chef $10 per head to cover the food costs and keep it fair.

First stop is Warwick at PC and Marion's place for a camping RTE. 27th September - get there just after lunch and settle in for the evening.

28th September - leave for Ocean View Hotel at Urunga - one of Saaz's faves. A nice ride down Waterfall Way to get there. Book a room for around $50 and enjoy dinner in the Pub's Restaurant.

29th September - Head up the Oxley Hwy to Walcha and then left down Thunderbolts way to end up at Manning River Gloryvale Reserve Tibbuc for an awesome BBQ night of camping in the sticks a la chef Onesie -(amenities available).


30th - Head to Onesie's place for the night - another night to pack the Berocca - Sumptuous feed - including donuts!!!

A late head out next morning to to West Wyalong, and then down to Mt Beauty Via Batlow and Tumbarumba.

2nd of October sees us head down the famous Alpine Way to Bruthen and arrive at Cowes on Philip Island for a couple of nights before I get on the Spirit of Tasmania and bid you all a temporary adieu.

As diesel said I will be bringing the new big rig kitchen I will be on the whole tour so there will be lots of bbq and bacon and pancakes but olny donuts at my place in schofields on the 30th so where ever you can tag along for a ausome ride of a life time.

We need to make shore he leaves the main land so I'll escort him all the way to the boat

Yes - that is part of the plan - although I have only just gotten over seeing said certain person last time they had a chugging marathon!

Yep, but hopefully not for much longer.  Just waiting on latest ultrasound results on whether it is totally healed, then the rehab starts.

Sounds a great farewell ride . . Love to do the lot but reaistically I am looking at joining you for a ride anywhere between Urunga and as far as Healesville, all great riding . . But depends on family commitments and weather . .

It's an awesome bed. Thanks for the offer Kymmie, I'll let you know. But at this stage my plan is to camp wherever the guys are camping.

Hi all - I will update this thread regularly by putting a note at the end of it, and updating the original post so it should be up to date as best as possible.


For instance - the google link shows us heading down the M1 into Sydney - but we are going the Old Putty Rd - will fix that soon.


I will also set up a SpotWalla link and paste it in there for any keen punters to keep an eye on our progress and plan a possible rendezvous.

Diesel, I rode the putty both ways this week ,, and its fun some good roadworks and lane marking changes on some twisty bits,, 
I highly recommend it , as you know..
I'll join you guys at Onesies and WW and leave at the Hume after Wagga. ;)

"National Eastern States Multi RTE Invitation Ride"  That's a complicated name, I like the sound of "Diesel's To Tasmania Tour" but that's a bit long so how about "Diesel's T. T. Tour" because every wants to ride a "T.T."
