dumb question
« on: September 05, 2016, 10:13:56 PM »
As the title suggests I have a predicament which is having a power socket and heated grips to wire in on a 2002 1100. My question is can I splice the positive wire of the power socket with the positive wire of the heated grips and connect to pin 87 on the relay thereby only needing one relay or do I have to use a separate relay for each. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Paul

Not a dumb question at all. Yes you can. What do you intend to power from the socket. You could just connect it via a fuse to the battery.

Thats how mine is connected, mind you I do start the engine before using the compressor to pump up the tyres.

Good to have those switched so you don't flatten the battery.
Cheers,

Or just remove what ever you have in the power socket/s when you're finished with it.
