is there a safe way to remove both wheels of the 1100 without having a bike stand? or do i have to remove 1 at a time to take down to the bike shop?

If you put it on the centre stand, put a block of wood under the engine then jack it up.  I use a garage trolley jack.  You have to do it for the front wheel so may as well do both wheels at the same time.  The extension on the rear mudguard needs to come off (only two allen head bolts)
