Getting the ST1300 Serviced, best place Brisbane?? - Solved
« on: December 03, 2013, 06:43:36 AM »
Is there anyone who does a good service that someone can recommend to take the ST1300 too?

Just dont want to find myself going from one mechanic to another and getting ripped off.

Thanks

Toowoomba Honda is well worth the trip, they are Dealer of the year, and also supporters of the club, they do all the major services to both my bikes, my brother in laws and my sisters, Leo (Wild Rose) also uses them, it is a 2 hour trip up the hill, but it is well worth your time :)

When contacting them you will need to tell them you are from OzSTOC, or if you go in show an OzSTOC Business Card at the service Counter (if you don't have one send streak a PM and he will post you some)

If you'd rather not go for a ride, I've had good service from Brisbane Motorcycles, 205 Lutwyche Road.

I recommend and use:

Des Roberts
www.desrobertsmotorcycleperformance.com
Ph 3205 7911

He is located in Brendale and is the most honest mechanic I have ever met.
I have gone to him many times over the years and if the issue I have is an easy or basic fix he will just instruct me on how to fix it at home (no charge :thumb)

The other bonus I have found after trying all the other mechanics in the area is that Des is always the cheapest.

I should give Des a go. He's familiar with the blue version so thats a big plus.
I scored a courtesy bike from my STealership last service so that may help me STay there. I need to get to work after  dropping I mean leaving my bike with them.
Getting wind in my hair while I still have some.

Brisbane Honda Caboolture store Biggles. I've always had the STead serviced through Brisbane Honda Windsor until I moved out this way and have just continued at the Caboolture store.

Haven't actually used him yet but Ozzy GRAFF of Ozzy Racing http://www.ozracing.biz/  Very highly recommended by a number of Ulysses members on the GC.

HEY jf3000
It's probably a bit late now. But for what it is worth. I live in Tweed Heads and I have taken my bikes to Pro Honda at Rocklea for years. Ask for Steve, the workshop manager phone:07 3277 0722.
I have been going to wherever the manager Geoff Hollaway goes for probably fifteen years and he has always ensured I got great service. Steve is an open sort of bloke, will tell you if something needs doing and also if something you suggested does not need doing. Never had anything but great service and always costs a bit less than other quotes I have received. I think I bought my first gpz1100 off Geoff when he was the head sales bloke at Whales Kawasaki back in 95.
Cheers

If you're only talking about changing the oil and oil filter, then try doing it yourself, it's not difficult, and all it's going to cost you is the price of the oil and filter! :grin

Maryborough >> Logan Village = 305km distance / 3hr40min duration. All good but thank you. Now go to a Harley shop out at Hervey Bay, thank you.

150 odd k's.....That would get the oil nice and hot and ready to drain.....PLUS you get to ride  :grin

and while it's becoming Politically Incorrect to suggest Harleys might be less than perfect, I would be worried about what my ST might catch while in the workshop and close vicinity to the aforesaid.   :eek
