You almost had a bunch of croweaters attend, but we've stayed local with a new venue on the Yorke Peninsula that we haven't tried before.

The Victorian ones are always new venues.  I'd have gone to this had I known about it first and not committed to the other.

Looks like it might be a bit damp on the weekend, but that won't stop me. The couple of hours I have put on the bike have worn the 'shine' off the new front tyre so the bike is ready. I have been putting together what I need for this trip so I can leave here by 9am, and give myself plenty of time to get to Ararat with time out for rest stops if needed. Will top the tank tomorrow ready for the trip.
See you all there!

Someone sounds pretty keen o the RTE.

See you around 12:00 noon.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

And it could have been embarrassing with more from SA than VIC.

The Victorian ones are always new venues.  I'd have gone to this had I known about it first and not committed to the other.

Yeah, since I've been going to and then organising (with help from Marcus, Gary & Russ) RTE's (since 2014), we have only been to the same place twice - Blackwood Hotel and Reefton Hotel (some one might be along soon to correct me - if I'm wrong).  So I'm guessing at the rate of 10 RTE's per year, over 10 years, we must've spread the love approx. 100 times.  More when Marcus was the prime VIC coordinator.

I'll try to organise different destinations and venues, but I guess it will have to end at some stage.

Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

We've had a standing Overnighter at Tungamah which was always good until they sold the pub, But yeah I've always tried to pick somewhere new, good bad or indifferent it is an excuse to see the state. Also Please if anyone has a suggestion, just say so, it can be exhausting sometimes trying to find somewhere. Hats off to Williamson, and the others. I would say our state is the most active :D

Yep, I think Kev's pretty excited, better not call the RTE off, there may be a mutiny.

The more memorable a gathering is, the less chance of anyone actually remembering the details that make it so.

Home around 12:30pm Sunday for me.  No rain, but wind a plenty.  Three ST's, one BMW, one Falcon Ute, one Landcruiser, no pics.

Thanks to Kev, Gary, Chris, Chris' cousin, Marcus, Neil and Doug for the company.

Meal and service at the RSL (Zoe and Harry) was excellent.  Meal and accommodation at the Courthouse Hotel was to the usual high standard, as were the Kilkenny Cream Ales.  Brian (our host at the Courthouse) is a good host, but I think Hell will freeze over before he smiles.

A short walk before turning in and we found another pub and some Kahlua coffee at the Barkly Hotel.

Breakfast of egg and bacon roll and coffee at the Ararat bakery before heading home.  Temp hovered around 6C until Ballarat, reminds me to fit the heated grips.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)
