Title: abs warning ligbt issues jelp needed

have just bought another st 1300 police.  abs warning light was flashing on test ride. had it out for a good ride today and light is staying on permanently.  what are the first tbings i can check   thanks in advance

Had that problem with my ST1100 after a new front tyre fitted. They didn't bolt the sensor back on properly that time.  So check that it's bolted on and not loose and bouncing around.

Yep, check the sensor clearance. If too far away, the readings will be poor, and too close could cause a damaged sensor.

The gap should be in the owners manual which I don't have.

I do have the 2003 1300/1300A workshop manual in PDF and I believe there is one on site if not then I can upload this one.

Air gap is between 0.7 and 1.2mm and you would need a feeler gauge set to check that.
