Flashing LCD display
« on: October 28, 2017, 11:56:45 AM »
Morning all,
Just finished cleaning the bike (first mistake) and now the LCD display is flashing about 4-5 times a second - with the keys out.

Start the bike and all returns to normal until turned off, then it goes back into disco mode.

I am guessing that there is water somewhere where it isnt meant to be and hoping it will stop flashing when it dries out

but....

Hoping someone may have come across something similar and have a workable solution.

cheers
Troy

Never heard of it before.  Since it's apparently water-related, leave the bike out in the hot sun.
I've ridden through sheeting rain for hours without that symptom.  You must have sprayed water in from the rear where it's not supposed to come from.  Obviously more care needed.   :-(((
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Thanks for letting everyone know about the issue mate :-++
If it happens to anyone else down the track they will now know that it just has to dry out :thumbsup
