Title: Faulty rear wheel speed sensor system?
Post by: Gnomad42 on July 03, 2019, 10:15:07 PM
Hi everyone,
A while back I had the rear wheel off of my ST1100 to replace the reg/rec in the alternator.
Since then I have had intermittent warnings of the ABS/TCL lights when I accelerate from traffic lights.
The codes flash 6 times - a Faulty rear wheel speed sensor system.
Could Olivers have messed up the re-install of the sensor when they did the fix, or would the sensor be rooted?

Thanks for any advice.

Not sure why they would need to remove the sensor from the mount.

If your taking off from the lights then it's more than likely the TCS system. It's the traction control system probably detecting rear wheel spinand you should notice a loss of power as it works.

It can be turned off with TCS button near the LH fender pocket lid.

The sensor could be positioned to far away from the interrupter ring.
