Here are the ferry ride links. Hopefully working now (just did for me)

With the North ride, you could make a bigger day of it by adding Morgan, Cadell & Waikerie as well.

Check / fix the link if that's what's needed, but not on my account, I now have better option.

My only previous visit to the Birdwood Motor Museum was in 2003.  It was a quick two hour visit, must have missed a lot, and I suppose exhibits have been updated since.  This is my current preference for the Saturday.  I'm sure I'll have some company.

Walking distance from the Caravan Park. There's also Gulf Brewery in the main street of Hahndorf which is supposed to open again at the end of the month (COVID) & Prancing Pony Brewery not far away in Totness - a short bus ride away.

Then in Lobethal, there is the Lobethal Bierhaus.

I was thinking the same thing.

Not me, we're eating there Saturday night, I might spread the love, and check out other options.

The menu does look good, but I won't be tempted.

After the Meet & Greet at the Caravan Park Camp Kitchen.... nibbles provided .... bring your own tea, coffee (What's that? Duncan might know) and drinks (Duncan will know)....make your own arrangement for dinner.  This means dinner could anything from more stubbies, a 10:00pm pizza and a bottle or two of port - it's amazing what'll fit in the trailer.

Only 21 sleeps until BMW Nigel, Moto Guzzi Martin and I hit the road.

I wonder how good a group of motorcyclists would be paddling a different type of dragon.

Another activity to consider.

I just rang to have my  :13Candy serviced at Bridgeland Motorcycles in Murray Bridge prior to the National Rally.

The first time I could get in was September 8.

Unless it is a minor issue and they have the capacity, they won't be able to do any service or tyres.

Cheers

Just been talking with my motorcycle man, he has some spare capacity next week (after he's finished with my ST1300).  Any excuse for ride is good; if it's a ride to Melbourne, it's better; to get your ST1300 serviced, even betterer.

Silly question.

Is the road down the western side of the river from Swan Reach to Mannum sealed all the way now? Last time I went through there (a few years ago now, I admit) most of it, at least from the Stott Highway at Swan Reach through to the Angus Valley Road west of Walkers Flat was dirt.

I just saw this on Facebook.

"The State Emergency Service has issued a flood advice message for the shack areas between Cadell and Mannum.

Areas that could experience minor flooding include Morgan, Brenda Park, Scotts Creek, Walker Flat and Bowhill.

Flows into South Australia are likely to exceed 60 gigalitres in two to three weeks and are expected to remain high for several weeks.

What you should do:

Follow your Emergency Plan now
Prepare your family and home for flooding in your area
Move items of value to a safe place
Regularly monitor river levels in your local area to avoid becoming isolated by floodwaters.
Camp on higher ground away from the river bank

For SES assistance phone 132 500. If the matter is life-threatening call 000 (triple zero).

The River Murray Flows Reports and mapping can be found: www.waterconnect.sa.gov.au/River-Murray"(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220826/5668df79b154b978a23ea31cf2269a10.jpg)
