Title: Airhawk alternative
Post by: faser01 on January 25, 2015, 12:29:59 PM
A 130kg friend of mine whose ST1100 has a standard seat, uses a doughnut purchased from a camping store for just a few dollars, puts one puff of air into it and tells me that he can ride all day in comfort.

He's ridden on an Airhawk before and says that he's more comfortable.

If you can put up with unjustified jokes about hemorrhoids from your mates, it could be a cheap alternative.

You might need to find a way to attach some elastic or other bands.
If you put it under the sheepskin, no one need know about your haemorrhoids.      Wot thuh

I still use the original Allyn Air Seat from the late 80s. Repaired multiple times. I have a newer version bought last year which is ok but not as good as the original.

I do not like the Air Hawks as the feel too soft and spongy for me (115 + kgs).

Regards
